3. Anti-Spam & Electronic Communications
TapText complies with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). When we send commercial electronic messages (marketing emails, promotional SMS, or other commercial content):
- Consent. We only send commercial messages to recipients who have given express or inferred consent — typically by signing up for TapText, subscribing to our mailing list, enquiring about our service, or being an existing customer.
- Sender identification. Every commercial message we send clearly identifies TapText as the sender and includes the business details set out in Section 1 above.
- Unsubscribe. Every commercial message includes a functional unsubscribe facility. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 5 business days (the Spam Act allows up to 5 working days; we aim for faster).
To unsubscribe from TapText marketing communications, click the unsubscribe link in any email we've sent you, or email hello@taptext.com.au with the subject line “Unsubscribe”. Transactional messages required for your account (e.g. billing receipts, security alerts, trial reminders, service notifications) are not marketing communications and cannot be unsubscribed from while your account is active.
If you received a message from TapText that you believe breaches the Spam Act: please contact us first at hello@taptext.com.au so we can investigate and resolve it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) at acma.gov.au.
4. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, refund, or cancellation) if a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee.
5. Pricing & GST
All prices displayed on this website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST). TapText absorbs GST — the amount you see is the amount you pay.
Tax invoices are issued through Stripe at the time of each successful payment and are available in your billing dashboard. Our ABN (Section 1 above) appears on every tax invoice as required by the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 (Cth).
